Our Mission
St. Matthew Lutheran church is dedicated to serving the Lord by witnessing, teaching and living the love of Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship and missional living in our community.
We strive to bring people to Jesus, develop them in Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world.
Pr. Rita Bair
Pr. Rita Bair joined St. Matthew's in June 2021. She grew up in Columbus, the last of 10 children. Along with nine of her siblings, Rita is a proud graduate of THE Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). She received her Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus as a 2nd career pastor. Her husband Bruce, a retired music educator and former lay pastor, have 6 grown children and 7 grandchildren. Previous calls have been in Convoy, Ohio (near Van Wert) and most recently, a shared ministry with 2 congregations near Toledo. Rita enjoys reading (a lot!), walking, classical and jazz music, family time and hopefully someday, learning how to weave.
